Daniel Salazar

Electrical Engineer from the Federico Santa María Technical University and received an executive MBA from the University Adolfo Ibañez. Served as Executive Director at CDEC-SING from 2009 to 2016. Between 2016 and 2018 he was responsible for the integration and transformation of the CDEC at the National Electric Coordinator, where he established a historic milestone, the SING-SIC interconnection. He previously worked for over a decade at the National Energy Commission.

Before joining energiE, he worked in the Research, Development and Innovation Department of Chile's National Electricity Coordinator, in the Settlements Department of the CDEC-SING, and at Systep Engineering and Design. He advises generation and transmission companies, mining firms, industry associations and public agencies on regulation, market design, supply strategy and techno-economic modeling.
